I have no tips – Just go there, It’s perfection without even trying!
OK OK if you insist, I have SOME tips.

When to travel
Cabo is nice and warm (boiling hot) all year long so really any time would be fine. There are some factors you might want to take into consideration:
Whale watching is December til’ March, which is also a great time to flee the winter. But be aware, it’s also very expensive so you should book in advance for better deals.
If you’re more interested in fishing, late summer and fall is a better time for you, which will also be less busy if you want a little more peace.
I went in August because it vacation was overdue. It was hot and humid but you won’t feel it while in the pool.

Where to stay
A lot of the hotels in Cabo are all-inclusive hotels which can be great. Considering that food is a very important part of traveling for me, the idea of eating in the hotel every day wasn’t my favorite.
If you’re like me, defiantly read the reviews about the food before making a decision. It’s such an important part of an all-inclusive, especially for the price.
After browsing the hotels I found the ‘Marquis Los Cabos’ which has four restaurants and plenty of positive comments in the reviews regarding the food.
Seeing how beautiful it is I went for it and did not regret. The food was absolutely amazing, especially the Mexican dishes. I traveled the Caribbean side of Mexico and stayed there for a few months, so I know my tacos by now.
I know, I talk a lot about food… Cocktails were very good as well 😉
Good quality alcohol and very yummy.
Other than that, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Breathtaking views – All rooms turn to the ocean! Endless infinity pools, 3 stories waterfall, luxuries rooms, pampers, entertainment, taco nights 😛 OK I’m stopping about the food!
Service is beyond praise, everybody is so nice and attentive. You get what you want before you’re finished asking for it.
In addition to tipping, I recommend mentioning at the end of your vacation who helped you to a manager and also in your reviews.
I found only two downsides to the hotel and they’re not that important in my opinion:
The location is not in the center of the city… it’s a 15-20 minutes drive from the center. In an all-inclusive it doesn’t matter that much, but if you’d like to travel more then this is not for you since taxies are expensive.
The second thing is that there is no ocean access since it’s a dangerous beach. The pool is amazing so I felt that it’s more than enough. If you still want the beach, a 10-minute walk will lead you to the Hilton hotel beach where it’s safe to swim.

Where to tour
I only had one tour but it’s enough in my opinion. I feel like Cabo is more about relaxing. There are some cool scenery and activities but one day was fine for all of those…
I recommend looking for a tour that includes:
- Scenery watching
- Water activities
- Food and drinks
(In case it’s a longer trip) - Small tour
After a lot of searching, I chose this tour.
The crew was professional and very nice. We got to see the famous arch and sail to a secluded beach for some water activities – snorkeling and paddle board. It was a lot of fun.
You can try zip lining as well with “Cabo adventures”.

Date night
If you are staying at an all-inclusive hotel, you might won’t want to leave, but you should. There are so many spots to have a nice dinner and refresh the scenery of your hotel.
“The Cape” hotel has a rooftop bar that overviews a gorgeous rocky beach.
We arrived exactly at sunset which was incredibly beautiful and romantic. After dark the place got full but not over crowded.
We had some bar food – beet carpaccio and a cheese plate with truffle honey. So yummy!! Cocktails were on point as well, I would not have expected less from this 5-star resort.
I enjoyed the live band that played all evening as well.

Commute
You have two choices and they are both expensive. Either rent a car or take taxies.
Renting a car is the best choice if you want to explore Los Cabos and not just lay in the pool all day. But in case you are planing on staying in the hotel most of the time, skip the car.
To get from the airport to the hotel you can take a shuttle with Transcabo transportation.
A private taxi will cost a lot more. Another option is to just haggle with the drivers upon arriving and hope for a good price.
If you’re staying relatively far from the marina, consider taking tours that provide a pickup and drop off service.

What to wear
Honestly, I could have stayed in that pool forever and just travel with a bathing suit. However, I had to eat sometime. I know it’s a surprise after I’ve been talking about food this entire post.
I packed light beach cover ups, flowy dresses and bikinis. Don’t forget sunglasses and hats!

Get ready for vacation!
